Kota Kinabalu: The Ramadan breaking-of-fast gathering organised by the Persatuan Kebajikan Masyarakat dan Mesra OKU (Perkemosh) Sabah brought together 14 young cancer patients and their families for a moment of joy and relief from hospital routines to celebrate and create lasting memories.

Chairwoman Siti Mahani Sidek said the programme aimed to provide emotional support to families facing the challenges of cancer treatment.

“For the families staying here, moments like this allow them to relax and enjoy time together despite the difficult journey they are facing,” she said during the programme held at Ronald McDonald House at Sabah Women and Children Hospital, Likas, on Friday.

Siti, who is also the Ronald McDonald House Head of Unit, explained that the programme was also an opportunity to build stronger relationships with non-governmental organisations.
