LAHAD DATU: Six people were injured after a Toyota Hilux single cab skidded off the road at Km33 of Jalan Lahad Datu–Sandakan in Sandau on Monday morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 8.16am and arrived at the scene at 8.42am, about 30km away, with nine personnel from the Lahad Datu station.

The victims, comprising four adult men, one adult woman and a child, sustained injuries but none were trapped, and all were given initial treatment before being transported to Hospital Lahad Datu by ambulances from the Health Ministry, Civil Defence Force and EMRS.

The operation concluded at 9.26am after ensuring the area was safe, with authorities noting limited communication coverage at the scene.
