Kota Kinabalu: Former Warisan State Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony, who was jailed three years and fined RM50,000 in March 2025 for falsifying documents, has been released on parole from Kajang Prison, Daily Express reliably learnt.
However, efforts to confirm it were met with silence by Parti KDM officials, who said they have been advised not to say anything.
He is believed to have returned to Sabah on March 13. He was Melalap Assemblyman at the time of his sentencing. No by-election was held as the state assembly was nearing its term.
His conviction stemmed from a 2015 charge involving the forgery of a letter of support to help his company win a maintenance and service contract at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in 2014.
