Kota Kinabalu: A Singgah Sahur programme held at Hospital Queen Elizabeth 1 (QEH1) and several locations around the city provided support to healthcare workers, security personnel and the homeless during the Ramadan month.
The programme was organised by Youth Power Club Kota Kinabalu in collaboration with the Women, Youth and Beliawanis wings of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) Likas Division as a gesture of appreciation to frontline workers while extending assistance to those in need.

Among those who took part were PGRS Likas Women chief Halizah Din, Youth chief Syamee Mohd Ron, Beliawanis chief Noor Azee Ashikeen Asngari and Adem Firdaus Mohd Bahrin.
During the programme, members of the three wings together with Youth Power Club Kota Kinabalu distributed sahur meals to healthcare workers on duty at Hospital Queen Elizabeth 1, security personnel at Kota Kinabalu Police Station and the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station in Sembulan, as well as to homeless individuals around the city.
The initiative reflects the spirit of unity and compassion among the community, particularly during Ramadan which emphasises values of kindness, solidarity and charitable acts towards those in need.
Such programme should be continued in the future as a platform to strengthen humanitarian values while providing moral support to frontline personnel and the less fortunate.
