Repeated road damage sparks safety fears in Bingkor
The affected road.
BINGKOR: Residents have again expressed serious concern over the condition of Tuntumulud–Bingkor road, which they claim frequently collapses during heavy rain despite repeated repair works.

Based on community observations, the road structure at the affected location sustains damage whenever there is continuous rainfall, with the same problem recurring after subsequent downpours even after repairs are carried out.

Community spokesman and Bingkor Community Welfare Association chairman Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik @ Charles said the situation is worrying as the road serves as the main route for daily use by residents at all hours.

He said the repeated collapses indicate that the root cause has not been comprehensively addressed and require serious attention from the relevant authorities, as the situation disrupts traffic flow and poses potential accident risks to road users including students, workers and emergency vehicles relying on the route.
