KUCHING: Sarawak will enhance students’ mastery of History through the Sarawak Education Enhancement Programme (Seep) to improve future Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results,
Sarawak Tribune reported.
State Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Roland Sagah Wee Inn, said the subject previously lacked a dedicated tuition programme, but its inclusion under Seep is expected to help more students pass, as History is among the “killing subjects”.
He added that 27 schools in Sarawak achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in SPM 2025, including 19 rural schools, reflecting strong commitment from students, teachers and continued support for education.
Overall, Sarawak recorded an improved performance with a State Average Grade (GPN) of 4.79 compared to 4.84 previously, while 93.99 per cent of 34,166 candidates qualified for the SPM certificate.
