Three held for suspected Lahad Datu drug trafficking

LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three men for suspected drug trafficking in an operation at Kampung Tanjung Batu, Jalan Tanjung Labian, here, on Saturday.

District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said, following police intelligence police raided an unnumbered house at about 1am.

A local man and two foreigners were detained.

“Inspection on the location found a waist bag containing two translucent plastics filled with substances believed to be Syabu weighing 5.18 grams.

Dzulbaharin said the case would be investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.

He added that the operation reflected Lahad Datu Police Headquarters commitment in combating criminal activities including drugs in this district.
