Subsidised cooking oil seized in Lahad Datu
The lorry loaded with cooking oil detained in Lahad Datu.
LAHAD DATU: Marine Police seized 1,088 packets of cooking oil estimated worth RM42,790 following an operation at Kampung Atiam, here, on Sunday.

A 61-year-old local lorry driver was arrested in the 3.10pm operation. The lorry’s cargo was covered by canvas inside which were several black plastic sheets.

“Further inspection found 64 boxes of cooking oil each containing 17 packets of cooking oil.

“The lorry’s driver failed to produce any documents or permits from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living to transport or store the subsidised items,” said
