PENAMPANG: A double-storey shoplot at Beverly Hills, Bundusan, was 70 pc destroyed in a on Wednesday night, but no injuries were reported.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 8.51pm and arrived at the scene, about 5km away, at 8.58pm.
The blaze involved a permanent shop unit measuring 40x30 square feet, with the fire mainly affecting the second floor.
The situation was brought under control at 9.22pm and fully concluded at 10.28pm after firefighters ensured there were no further hazards at the location.
A total of 29 personnel were deployed from the Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan fire stations, assisted by five police personnel, seven members of the Civil Defence Force and representatives from the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.
