KOTA BELUD: A motorcycle shop in Pekan Kota Belud was damaged in a fire on Friday evening, with no casualties reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 5.35pm and arrived at the scene four minutes later, about one kilometre from the station.

The fire involved a permanent structure, with about 50 per cent of the shop, including sales items and equipment, destroyed, while eight motorcycles were completely burnt.

The blaze was brought under control at 6.05pm and the operation ended at 6.45pm after firefighters ensured no further danger at the site.
