KUNAK: Three traders here were issued notices under the Weights and Measures Act 1972, the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 and the Trade Descriptions Act 2011 during an integrated operation on Tuesday.
The operation was carried out by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) together with the Health Ministry (KKM) and the District Council (MDKNK).

Semporna KPDN chief Satunlucy Lamioh@Lamidah said the operation aimed to ensure compliance with trade laws and health regulations at premises around the Kunak district.
KKM also issued four separate notices, while the Kunak District Council issued two notices following inspections at supermarkets, grocery shops, restaurants and petrol stations.
Satunlucy said the operation was conducted following consumer complaints.
She said KPDN would intensify enforcement operations to ensure traders comply with the law and protect consumer rights.
She reminded traders not to commit offences involving controlled goods or price manipulation and said complaints can be channelled via KPDN’s official platforms.
