Kota Kinabalu: Businessman cum oil and gas player Datuk Abdul Farish Abdul Rashid, Inspector General of Police) Dato’ Seri Mohd Khalid bin Ismail and Chief Justice of Malaysia, Yang Amat Arif (YAA) Dato’ Wan Ahmad Farid bin Wan Salleh top the list of 1,026 recipients of Sabah honours on the occasion of the 75th birthday of Head of State Tun Musa Aman today (Monday).

They would receive the highest State award of Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK) which carries the title of “Datuk Seri Panglima” at the Istana Seri Kinabalu’s ceremony hall in the first session of the State Investiture ceremony.
Seventy-nine others would receive the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) which carries the title of “Datuk”. They include Sungai Manila Assemblyman Hazem Mubarak bin Tun Musa, Kinabatangan Member of Parliament Mohd Kurniawan Naim bin Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, Political Secretary to KPDN Minister, Mohammad Ghazali bin Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, Sandakan Municipal Council President Walter Kenson, PDRM Bukit Aman Secretary DCP Abdul Rahman bin Kassim, Eastern Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Datuk Khir Junaidi bin Idris, Fifth Infantry Division Commander Brig. Gen. Datuk Shamshor bin Jaafar, Sabah Land and Survey Department Director Sr. Alan Chua Ming Ling, Sabah Health Department Director Dr William Gotulis, Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Maslinda @ Linda Binti Mohd Ainal, Sabah State Court Director Azreena Aziz, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Treasurer Chin Kiang Ming, Kota Kinabalu Umno divisional Chief cum Wanita Umno Exco Musliati Moslimin, Sabah Electricity Chaiman Saadiah Aziz, Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) General Manager Datuk Syaheddrul R Joddari, General Manager of Petronas and Labuan regional office Siti Ayu Haniza Abdul Wahab and Kota Kinabalu Journalist Association (KKJA) President Jimmy Goh Kian Kiong.
Thirteen have been conferred the “Justice of the Peace” (JP) and include Kumpulan BTC Berhad Managing Director Datuk Abdul Kadir M.E. Sikkandar who is also advisor to Sabah Indian Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh bin Dikun, GRS Supreme Council member Datuk John Ambrose, lawyer Datuk Ram Singh, a lawyer for the late Zara Qairina’s mother, Shahlan Jufri and Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) Sabah Director Datuk Awang Kadin Tang.
Several media practitioners in Sabah also received State awards. They include Chok Lee Lui of Daily Express (ASDK), RTM Chief Reporter Azlinah binti Nineng (ADK), Emran @ Azmi bin Rosle (RTM reporter), Sabah Journalists Association President Mariah Doksil cum Borneo Post reporter (ADK), Lester Bingkasan of Borneo Post (ADK) Joan George Mool of Daily Express (BSK) and Sim Kain Yun of See Hua News (BSK).
The Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK) were conferred to 192 recipients, Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK) to 260 recipients, Bintang Kinabalu (BK) to 249 recipients and Certificate of Honour medals to 113 recipients.
