PENAMPANG: A house was destroyed in a fire beside SJK (C) Yue Min here on Saturday morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 8.03am and arrived at the scene four minutes later, about 4km from the station.

The fire involved a semi-permanent house measuring about 30 by 30 feet, which was completely burnt.

A total of 20 personnel from Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan stations were deployed, and no injuries or casualties were reported as firefighting and overhaul operations were carried out.
