TAMBUNAN: A woman sustained minor burns after a non-permanent house in Kampung Lubong, here caught fire on Sunday morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 8.30am and a team from the Tambunan station arrived six minutes later to find the 40x40-foot structure about 89 per cent destroyed by fire.

The victim, an adult woman who suffered about 10 per cent burns on her arm, received early treatment from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit while firefighters brought the blaze under control at 9.16am and ended the operation at 9.20am.
