Boy, 15, drowns in Sandakan
The body has been sent to the Forensic Department of Duchess of Kent Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
SANDAKAN: A 15-year-old was found drowned after he was believed to have fallen into the sea at Kampung Tinosa, Batu 7, here, on Thursday afternoon.

Mohd Mahadir Danish Abdullah was discovered by a relative under a village bridge in the stilt settlement at 4pm.

Prior to the incident, the teenager had gone to a shop with a friend.

Sandakan Police Chief ACP George Abd Rakman said upon arrival police found the victim lying on the bridge in an unconscious state.

He said medical personnel from the Ministry of Health, who were at the scene, confirmed the boy had died.

“Initial examination of the body found no visible injuries. At this stage, there is no suspicion of criminal element or foul play,” he said.
