Health Officer Dr Shameer Khan Sulaiman said the seizure followed the detection of offences involving the sale of vape products not registered with KKM, as well as packaging and labelling that did not comply with specifications and advertising that violated provisions under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024.
He said all 525 vape devices seized were not smuggled goods but were unregistered and failed to meet the stipulated requirements, adding that the products would be disposed of according to procedures.
