Kota Kinabalu: Firefighters contained a storeroom fire at Jarri Engineering Sdn Bhd on Wednesday evening, with one worker sustaining an eye injury.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 6.17pm and deployed 11 personnel from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station, arriving at the premises about 4km away at 6.26pm, where a permanent storage facility used for vehicle equipment was found about 15 per cent burnt.
The blaze was brought under control at 6.40pm and operations concluded at 7.20pm after ensuring the area was safe, while a 26-year-old male worker injured by a water jet nozzle was treated at the scene by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services team, with two police personnel also present.
