KUNAK: The Kunak District Council (MDKNK) is providing 142 Ramadan bazaar lots across two locations within Kunak town to accommodate food hawkers for the upcoming fasting month.
Executive Chairman Mohd Nazri Pintal said 100 units are available in the open area adjacent to the Kunak General Market, while 42 lots are located in the parking area opposite the Kunak Post Office.

“All Ramadan bazaar lots are designated for 10ft x 10ft canopies,” he told the Daily Express, Friday.
Application forms for the Ramadan bazaar opened on Feb 5 and can be obtained at the District Council Office revenue counter. The deadline for submission is Feb 13, while the ballot to determine the positions of each trader will be held on Feb 16 at MDKNK’s office grounds.
In a separate development, the District Council has also designated 118 Aidilfitri Bazaar lots in two locations, which will operate from Feb 23 to March 23. Of that total, 71 lots (10ft x 10ft) and 14 lots (20ft x 20ft) will be available at Kunak Plaza building area.
Another Aidilfitri Bazaar location will be opened in the open area behind Bintang Laut shop houses in Kunak town. A total of 25 lots are provided for 10ft x 10ft canopies and eight lots for 20ft x 20ft canopies.
