Seeking help to locate family of abandoned baby
Kota Kinabalu: The Social Welfare Department (JKM) Kota Kinabalu is appealing to the public for assistance in locating the family or next of kin of a three-month-old baby boy found abandoned in the city.

The infant, identified as Arfan Bahri (pic), was discovered by members of the public at Taman Awam Teluk Likas and taken to the Sabah Women and Children’s Hospital (HWKKS) for medical treatment.

“The child is currently under the temporary care of a suitable guardian following an interim custody order issued by the Kota Kinabalu Children’s Court,” said Community Development Officer Musawer Madsan on Thursday.

The temporary custody order, applied for on March 17, ensures the child receives proper care while efforts continue to trace his family.
