KOTA KINABALU: Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS) has suspended its deputy president, Datuk Rina Jainal’s (

The action follows an internal disciplinary probe held on June 29, 2024, which found grounds for firm action based on the evidence presented.
According to a notification letter by PHRS secretary-general Christy Chok to Rina dated Nov 10 this year, the party’s top council accepted the disciplinary committee’s recommendation after finding her conduct had tarnished PHRS’s reputation.
The letter stated that her repeated actions and remarks had misled the public, particularly in Kukusan, and damaged the image of the party and its president.
PHRS said it viewed the matter seriously and has decided to enforce the committee’s recommendation without delay.
