Kota Kinabalu: Hospital support services provider Sedafiat Sdn Bhd handed over RM445,600 in business zakat for financial year 2025 to the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis), continuing a nine-year streak of zakat contributions.
The handover was made during Sedafiat’s iftar dinner on Monday, graced by Head of State Tun Musa Aman, and his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin.
Sedafiat Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ag Buhtamam Ag Mahmun said the company had maintained its record of business zakat payments for nine consecutive years as part of its corporate responsibilities.
“Sedafiat has continued to maintain its excellent performance as a five-star hospital support services provider from the Ministry of Health Malaysia for eight consecutive years, from 2018 to 2025,” he said.
The event also saw Sedafiat present donations of RM10, 000 each to the Kimanis Papar Disability Training and Rehabilitation Complex and the Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Al-Karim in Kampung Benoni.
The Al-Aman Orphanage in Beaufort received a multipurpose van from the company.
