Kota Kinabalu: Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB) received a dividend payment of RM7 million for the year 2024 from its investment in Borneo Housing Mortgage Finance Berhad (BHMFB).
The dividend handover ceremony was held recently, with BHMFB Chief Executive Officer Datin Fauziah Abu Bakar Titingan presenting the payment to QSB Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ahmad Rizal Dahli at the BHMFB office here.
The ceremony was witnessed by QSB Chairman Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob and BHMFB Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain.
Also present were QSB Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer Rudy Jaglul and Sabah Finance Ministry Public Agency Monitoring and Investment Division Chief Assistant Secretary, Christina Monis @ Marina.
Dr Yusof described it as a historic day for QSB, marking the receipt of a RM7 million dividend from its BHMFB investment for the 2024 financial year.
“This is a moment of celebration for a company linked to the Sabah State Government, where our investment is split equally, 50 per cent owned by QSB and 50 per cent by the Sarawak government,” he said.
He added that this year’s RM7 million dividend represents the profit share distributed to Qhazanah as part of the returns from its subsidiary company investments.
“We are grateful for this positive result from Qhazanah’s investment,” Dr Yusof said.
