LABUAN: Twenty hardcore poor registered under the e-Kasih system received motorcycles through the Sejahtera Madani programme.
The presentation ceremony was held at Dewan Homestay Kampung Sungai Labu and officiated by Labuan Member of Parliament Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman.
Suhaili said the initiative by the Federal Territories State Development Office in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department aimed to help recipients generate income by using the motorcycles.
He said the effort was part of the government’s ongoing initiative to eradicate poverty in line with the Malaysia Madani aspirations.
