LABUAN: Six undocumented migrants were detained in Labuan during a special operation by the Immigration Department following intelligence and public tip-offs.
The operation on Monday, conducted from 12.10am to 2am at three residential areas, involved 31 enforcement officers.
Six Filipino nationals were arrested after failing to produce valid travel documents or permits.
All detainees have been placed at the Labuan Immigration Depot for further investigation under the Immigration Act 1959/63.
Two witnesses were also issued summonses to assist in the investigation.
Authorities said enforcement operations will continue to identify and remove undocumented migrants, while warning employers and the public against harbouring or employing them.
