PUTATAN: A total of 30 orphans and asnaf from around the Putatan district received contributions from the Sabah branch of the Association of Wives and Women Members of the Civil Service (Puspanita).
The recipients, comprising residents of Kampung Seri Pandan, Kampung Ketiau and Kampung Ulu Putatan, were feted in a gathering held in a spirit of gratitude and togetherness in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
The contributions were presented by State Secretary and Advisor to Puspanita Sabah, Datuk Seri Sr. Safar Untong, together with Puspanita Sabah Chairperson Datin Seri Nuinda Alias.
At the same event, 30 members of Puspanita Sabah completed a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony led by the organisation’s Religious Bureau Chairperson, Aishah Gani.
The programme also featured a Ramadan tazkirah before guests performed the Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers in congregation, led by Imam of Masjid Sri Pandan Putatan, Awaluddin Nasution.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary Datuk Ahemad Sade; Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and Creative Economy Datuk Mansur Asun; Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah and wife Datin Seri Adreen Aderizza Mohamad Soffi; and Sabah Women’s Affairs Department (Jhewa) Director Haslina Ismail.
