Injuring Sandakan Council staff: Trio charged
The boy was charged under Section 332 of the Penal Code for causing injury while preventing the public servant from carrying out his duties, at the Batu 8 Market area on March 6, this year.
SANDAKAN: Two men and a 14-year-old boy, recently arrested over an assault on a Sandakan municipal officer at Batu 8 Market, were on Thursday brought to the Sessions and Magistrate’s Court to face multiple charges.

The 14-year-old boy was charged with voluntarily causing hurt to a Sandakan Municipal Council enforcement officer to deter him from his duty.

However, no plea was taken from the boy after he was brought before Magistrate Nur Faezah Jafry to face the charge against him in the Court for Children.

The boy was charged under Section 332 of the Penal Code for causing injury while preventing the public servant from carrying out his duties, at the Batu 8 Market area on March 6, this year.

Meanwhile, the other two men who allegedly involved in the incident, were charged with illegal entry.

Putih Jiring, 35, and Aril Faustino, 28, pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Roslinda Razali, to entering the State without any identification documents.

No bail was offered to all the accused, who were ordered to be remanded at Sandakan Prison pending the mentioned dates.

DPP Yuvan Bharathan prosecuted the case.
