SEMPORNA: Some 28 bazaar lots were inspected by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) and the Semporna District Council (MDS) during an Op Pantau operation at the Taman Sempaul Ramadan Bazaar, here, on Friday.

KPDN Semporna Branch Chief Satunlucy Lamioh @ Lamidah said inspections found that all traders complied with laws enforced under KPDN Acts, including the requirement to clearly display price tags on goods sold.

He said the Semporna District Council also carried out checks on compliance with local authority regulations, including verification of business licences, to ensure bazaar trading activities were conducted in an orderly manner and in line with stipulated conditions.

“The operation also aimed to raise awareness among traders to continuously comply with existing laws while maintaining transparent and ethical business practices,” he said in a statement.
