KENINGAU: The Lions Club of Keningau Host recently distributed disposable diapers and milk powder to a bedridden patient here.
The assistance was given to 35-year-old Jefrin Matius Gitang, who has been bedridden after undergoing head surgery last year. The surgery left him without a voice and unable to move.

Also present during the evening visit were the club’s President Nancy Datuk Angian, District Chairperson Joanne Ong, and club members Lion Lim Siew Jong and Lion Terry Yong.
A spokesperson for the club said the assistance was intended to help ease Jefrin’s daily care needs.
“This support is hoped to ease Jefrin’s daily care requirements and serve as a reminder that even in a fast-paced world, there are still people willing to pause and lend a helping hand.
“Sometimes, even simple items such as diapers and milk powder can provide comfort and hope for families facing difficult circumstances,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that this was the third time the club had extended assistance to the family.
Meanwhile, Jefrin is currently cared for by his aunt, Emilia Gitang, and his younger sister, Dorin Matius Gitang, who serve as his full-time caregivers.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the management of the Lions Club of Keningau Host for their continued concern and support for our family,” said Emilia.
