KENINGAU: A public tip submitted through the QR Code Aduan Masyarakat system led to the arrest of a local man in a drug raid at Kampung Mangkatai, Tambunan.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division of the Keningau District Police Headquarters following swift intelligence received via the digital complaint platform.

Police detained the suspect and seized three small transparent plastic packets containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu, weighing about 0.80 gram in total.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(3) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possession and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act for drug use.
Police urged the public to continue channeling information on criminal activities through the available platforms, stressing that close cooperation between the community and authorities remains crucial in curbing drug abuse and safeguarding public safety in Keningau and surrounding areas.
