Kunak residents urged to stay alert amid continuous rain
KUNAK: Residents living near Kg Sg. Langgas and Kg Sg. Atas are urged to stay vigilant as river levels remain moderate despite continuous rain since Thursday.

District Officer Majaran Osman confirmed no flood reports have been received in the area, but residents near rivers are advised to exercise caution during the rainy season.

A Daily Express survey found river levels in Kg Sg. Langgas still low with no significant rise, though the area has a history of flooding affecting nearby homes.

To enhance safety, the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) has installed a flood early warning siren system in Kg Sg. Langgas.
