SOOK: The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (KPSTI) has urged all forms of assistance for the family of six-year-old Avy Amber, who died in a fire in Tambunan on Feb 10, to be expedited to ease their burden.
Assistant Minister and Tulid Assemblyman Jordan Jude Ellron Angin said the ministry takes the incident seriously and hopes the aid process will be fast-tracked without delay.
“The ministry has been informed of the incident and all fire-related assistance for Tambunan will be expedited as soon as possible,” he said, speaking after officiating the closing ceremony of the TVET Outreach to Villages Programme for the Keningau Zone at SMK Tulid.
Jordan described the tragedy, which claimed the life of a pupil, as deeply saddening and profoundly affecting the family and local community.
He added that all relevant agencies are working together to ensure welfare assistance, psychosocial support, and basic needs for the affected family are delivered promptly and in an organised manner.
He emphasized the Government’s commitment to helping those affected by disasters and assured that the victim’s family would not face hardship alone.
Jordan also conveyed his condolences and wished the family strength and resilience in facing the ordeal.
