LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three men during two separate operations by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division on Friday.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said in the first operation, two men were arrested and 25kg of ketum powder, packed in 25 packets and estimated worth RM2,125, was seized from a Perodua Myvi in front of a courier service premise in Jalan Reno Fajar at about 11am.
The case is being investigated under Section 30(3) of the Poison Act 1952.
In the second operation, a local man was arrested following a raid on a house in Jalan Cempaka at around 4pm.
Police found five translucent packets containing 18.84 grammes of Syabu.
The suspect also tested positive for drugs, and the case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Dzulbaharin said the operations reflect the continuous commitment of Lahad Datu Police Headquarters to combat criminal activities, including drugs, in the district.
