Kinabatangan plantation worker feared mauled by crocodile
KINABATANGAN: A plantation worker is missing and feared to have been attacked by a crocodile while fishing in a river near Ladang Kompas Tenggara, Sukau, on Friday night.

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue chief Hairi Otuh said firefighters received an emergency call from police at 1.07pm on Feb 7 reporting the disappearance.

The victim, identified as 48-year-old Stefanus Martin, was last seen leaving home around 8pm the previous night to check fish nets near the plantation.

When he failed to return, co-workers searched the riverbank and found only his clothes and fishing net at the scene.
