SOOK: A storage facility here was destroyed in a fire on Monday, with no injuries reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 11.30am and arrived within five minutes, with 13 personnel from Sook and Nabawan fire stations conducting firefighting operations using a 600-foot hose line and two water jets supplied by fire engines and a nearby hydrant, assisted by Sabah Electricity and the police.

The fire, involving a non-permanent hardware storage structure, was brought under control at 11.50am and operations ended at 1.07pm after the site was declared safe.
