Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) has called on Malaysia Airports to immediately improve facilities at the international departure hall of Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) by providing more seating for passengers.
“The waiting lounge for international departures only opens for security screening one hour before the scheduled departure time.
“As a result, many passengers have to stand in the corridor waiting for the security gate to open before they can enter the waiting lounge.
“This creates serious difficulties for elderly passengers and those with limited mobility,” said its Chairman, Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw.
