Kota Kinabalu: Hilton Kota Kinabalu revealed its theme for this year’s Ramadan dinner buffet, “Nikmati Sajian, Eratkan Jalinan”, a celebration that brings together cherished traditions, modern flavours and the spirit of togetherness that defines the holy month. 

“The dining experience is modelled after the Ramadan Bazaars normally held during that time of the month,” Food and Beverage Director Ihsan Bahri said. 

For Ihsan, the theme holds a more personal significance, expressing his genuine enjoyment of visiting Ramadan Bazaars which offer a variety of traditional foods that are available only during the holy month. 

He explained that Ramadan Bazaars are a cultural staple, offering a range of traditional Malay foods from sweet treats to hot meals and refreshing drinks. “These foods are unique to the Ramadan period, available only once a year. 

“By bringing the bazaar experience into the hotel, Hilton offers guests the chance to enjoy the same traditional dishes in a more convenient and comfortable setting,” he added.

Compared to a traditional Ramadan Bazaar, Ihsan said the dinner buffet will offer a unique and more satisfying experience. 

“While customers at a bazaar will have to purchase each item individually, we offer an all-you-can-eat buffet with a single price, so guests can sample all the food without additional charges,” he said.

Signature highlights include a Stesen Sup Utara, Gorengan Berempah, Tulang Rusuk Salai, Rojak Nusantara, Aneka Ikan Bakar and the crowd favourite Kambing Golek Berempah roasted to aromatic perfection.

Guests can also enjoy a delightful array of desserts featuring Kunafa, Murtabak Manis Pancoran, Air Balang and more, each crafted to capture the sweetness of the season.

“I recommend trying the Kambing Golek Berempah and the Kaki Lembu Panggang. The Gulai Kawah is also a good choice, as it is rich and flavourful. 

“The Air Jagung Padu is a must-try as well, with its creamy texture and fragrant corn flavour,” Ihsan added. 

The Dinner Buffet runs from Feb 20 to March 19, priced at RM188 nett per adult and RM94 nett per child. Exclusive offers like a Buy 4 Free 1 are available, and early bird bookings come in the form of special vouchers at RM138 nett per adult when made by Feb 13.

From Feb 14 onwards, vouchers can be purchased at RM148 nett while stocks last.
