PAPAR: A fire partially destroyed a permanent workshop in Kampung Kuala Lorong 12 here on Saturday, damaging the structure and several vehicles but leaving no one hurt.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said the blaze, reported at 6.03am, was brought under control by 6.42am, with four vehicles and four motorcycles affected, including three bikes that were completely burnt.

Ten firefighters from Papar, assisted by police, used water from a fire engine and a nearby hydrant to extinguish the flames, and operations ended at 7.16am after the area was declared safe.
