Kota Kinabalu: Osimal Foundation contributed medical equipment to Likas Children’s Hospital, comprising three feeding machines and a breathing machine valued at RM20,000.
These devices are crucial for infants suffering from severe medical conditions, many of whom come from financially disadvantaged families in rural Sabah. Without such equipment, these young patients would struggle to feed or breathe independently.
Paediatric specialist, Dr Ng Su Fang, said the hospital continues to face shortages.
“We need four sets of breathing machines to meet current medical needs adequately,” she said in a statement.
In response, the Sabah-based charitable organisation assured the hospital that it will make every effort to assist in fulfilling this requirement.
Osimal Foundation Founder and Trustee Tun Richard Malanjum extended his sincere appreciation to supporters and donors who made the contribution possible – particularly Datuk Seri Vincent Lye, Madam Chua Su Yin of the Datuk Chua Song Lim and Datin Koh Sai Eng Foundation (Johor) and Dr Angeline Chong of Kudat, Sabah.
He also expressed hope that more benefactors will come forward to support the Foundation’s ongoing humanitarian efforts.
All donations to Osimal Foundation are tax-exempt. The foundation can be contacted via e-mail at secretariat@osimal.org.
