Kota Kinabalu: The P172 Kota Kinabalu Parliamentary Service Centre conducted a ground visit to Likas following several recent reports of break-ins in the area here, recently.
Representing Kota Kinabalu MP Datuk Chan Foong Hin, the team met victims at Lorong Burung Ruai 2C and confirmed that at least three houses along the same lane were targeted within a short period.
Victims said the incidents occurred quietly and swiftly without being detected, with reported losses including vehicles being rummaged through and valuables stolen, while no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
The visit enabled the team to assess the situation on the ground and understand residents’ concerns, with efforts to be stepped up in collaboration with the police to enhance monitoring and security patrols in the affected area.
“We have confirmed that at least three houses along the same lane were targeted within a short period.
“We will work closely with the police to enhance patrols while urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” Chan said.

The service centre reaffirmed its commitment to engaging with the community and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
