Kota Kinabalu: The State-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house is expected to draw about 20,000 visitors this Saturday (Mar 28) at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here.
The event will take place from 10am-2pm under the theme “Aidilfitri Wadah Perpaduan” (Aidilfitri: A Platform for Unity).
State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif encouraged the public to attend, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen community ties and promote unity.
He said about 95 per cent of preparations are complete with a final rehearsal scheduled, adding that visitors can expect a memorable experience.
The open house will feature 71 food stalls by local vendors, participation from 15 hotels, involvement of six agencies, including the Agriculture Department and Sabah Islamic Religious Council, performances by local artistes and a charity component benefiting nine homes with over 1,000 children.
