Kota Kinabalu: A Sabah PKR Youth leader has called on Datuk Ewon Benedick and Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau to resign over the handling of Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement issue.
In a statement today, Eldridge Laurence Timis
(pic) criticised the two leaders for being vocal on the matter while allegedly failing to ensure a concrete resolution is achieved.

He said the current process involving technical discussions between the Sabah State Secretary and the Federal Treasury Secretary-General is the most structured approach in decades and should be allowed to determine the formula and payment amount under Articles 112C and 112D of the Federal Constitution.
Eldridge said it would be unfair to assign blame to one side if negotiations fail, adding that any outcome would reflect both the State and Federal governments rather than justify politicising the issue.
He urged accountability from Ewon, as Deputy Chief Minister III, and Madius, who chairs a State-linked entity, while calling for leadership focused on firm negotiations and tangible results instead of continued political rhetoric.
