Kota Kinabalu: A Sabah PKR Youth leader has called on Datuk Ewon Benedick and Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau to resign over the handling of Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement issue.
Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Sabah vice chief Eldridge Laurence Timis said the two must take responsibility for what he described as a lack of progress in finalising the long-standing claim.
In a statement, he expressed disappointment with certain leaders who have been vocal in criticising the issue but have allegedly failed to play an effective role in ensuring a concrete resolution.
He said the Federal Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has shown clear commitment to resolving the matter through structured negotiations, including ongoing discussions between the Sabah State Secretary and the Federal Treasury Secretary-General.
