KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) plans to restructure its organisation from 74 divisions to 26, including Labuan, to streamline and strengthen the party.
Information Chief Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan said the move, approved by the Supreme Council, will align the structure with 25 parliamentary constituencies in Sabah and one in Labuan, improving coordination and operations.
He said the restructuring would enhance the party’s role in supporting the state’s unity government and maintaining strong state-Federal ties.
A Special General Assembly will be held soon to discuss the restructuring and constitutional amendments.
Nizam added the party is preparing for the next general election under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, while also strengthening its communication machinery, including AI training and oratory programmes.
