KOTA KINABALU: The State Government announced on Monday that either March 20 or March 23 will be observed as an additional public holiday, depending on the date of Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.
A Special Government Gazette dated March 18 stated that the Head of State has designated March 20 as an additional public holiday if Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on March 21, or March 23 if the celebration falls on March 20.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had earlier announced the same additional Hari Raya holiday dates during his visit to Sabah on Sunday.
