Kota Kinabalu: Three men were involved in a road accident involving two cars at Jalan Lintas in front of CityMall early Wednesday morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 5.02am and a team from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene about eight minutes later, located approximately three kilometres away.

Operations Commander PBK I Mohd Faizal Alias said the accident involved a Proton Exora and a Proton Saga, with all victims already removed from the vehicles by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.

Two victims, aged 21 and 61, sustained injuries and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital  by the Health Ministry ambulance for further treatment, while another victim, aged 66, was reported unharmed.

Firefighters later collected information at the scene and cleared accident debris using a hose reel before the operation was fully concluded at 5.25am.
