KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Land Development Board (SLDB), in collaboration with SMK Perempuan Likas, distributed 1,800 food packs to the public across 21 locations in the city on Saturday under its Street Sungkai and Street Sahur 2026 programme.
Now in its 11th year, the initiative saw staff, students and volunteers prepare bubur lambuk through a gotong-royong effort at the school before distributing it around the Likas area. Ramadan food baskets were also presented to those in need.

SLDB General Manager Datuk Syaheddrul R Joddari said the programme showed how a small staff initiative had grown into a meaningful annual community effort during Ramadan.
The programme will continue at night with the Street Sahur activity, where SLDB personnel will distribute pre-dawn meals around Kota Kinabalu.
Also present was SMK Perempuan Likas principal Datin Samsiah Almalek.
