Lundayeh folks continue tradition
The villagers seen during the gotong-royong activity.
SIPITANG: Villagers work together to split firewood (“ngapak kayu”) in Kampung Kaban, here, in preparation for a wedding ceremony (“aweh”) in the village.

This spirit reflects the strong culture of mutual cooperation practised by the Lundayeh community since the time of their ancestors.

The cooperation of dozens of villagers highlights the collective spirit of the community in accomplishing major tasks together.

The firewood is prepared for cooking during the wedding feast, which is also carried out on a gotong-royong (communal work) basis.
