Man killed in Sandakan crash
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
SANDAKAN: A man died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident with Mitsubishi Triton along Jalan Leila on Thursday.

In the 12.10am incident, the 49-year-old local was confirmed dead after his motorcycle collided with the 4WD that was making a U-turn at the Jalan Leila traffic lights.

The 31-year-old driver of the four-wheel-drive vehicle and his two passengers were not injured in the incident.

Sandakan District Police Chief ACP George Abd Rakman said the driver of the vehicle has been detained by police and will be remanded to assist in further investigations, while the victim’s body has been sent to the Sandakan Hospital Forensic Unit for a post-mortem.
