KOTA KINABALU: A father and his two children were jointly charged in the Sessions Court here with allegedly abusing the man’s fourth child, a 12-year-old girl, resulting in physical injuries.
Rayner Riset, 43, Arizona Nerence Rayner, 23, and an 18-year-old boy pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Marlina Ibrahim to the charge read to them separately on Thursday.

They are accused of committing the offence at about 1pm on Jan 21 this year at a house in Kampung Mansiang, Manggatal.
The charge under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, carries a fine of up to RM20,000, or imprisonment of up to 10 years, or both, upon conviction.
The court fixed April 14 for pre-trial case management and granted bail of RM5,000 each with two local sureties, ordering them to report monthly to the nearest police station, surrender any passports, and refrain from contacting the alleged victim or prosecution witnesses.
