Continue the rapport: Chief Minister
Hajiji said the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya vision places particular emphasis on inclusive and balanced development, ensuring all communities share in the State’s progress.
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor called for continued strong ties between the State Government and community organisations, saying such partnerships are essential to Sabah’s social stability and economic growth.

He said cooperation with bodies like the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) directly supports the state government’s development agenda under its Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya framework.

“I believe that through this spirit of cooperation, we will continue to strengthen social stability and advance the people’s economy,” he said at the FCAS Angpow Festival held at the Hakka Hall, here, Saturday.

His speech was delivered by Deputy Chief Minister I cum Works and Utility Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.

He acknowledged FCAS’ broad reach across Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan, noting that the umbrella body, which brings together 160 Chinese associations, has made tangible contributions in education, social welfare, cultural preservation, and community development.

Hajiji described the annual Angpow Festival as more than a seasonal celebration, saying it reflects the multiracial harmony that has long defined the state.

“The Angpow Festival organised by FCAS is not merely a festive event but a symbol of unity, goodwill and the spirit of togetherness among the multi-racial community in this State,” he said.
